business with ethics....

As we now know what ethics actually is. So the question is " How is it applicable in business"?
Here the thing is that it is applicable everywhere in daily life, consider it personally or professionally, and it is very important for business, as it helps to positively boost up the company's reputation in the public's mind.

Lets take a look on a company's case namely (TOMS)......
(Source- Wordstream.com)

TOMS was founded by Blake Mycoskie in 2006 following a trip to Argentina. During his visit, Mycoskie saw firsthand how people living in impoverished areas of Argentina had to live without shoes, a challenge that many of us likely give little thought. Inspired by his trip, Mycoskie decided to establish his company with giving in mind.
Since 2006, TOMS’ footwear business has donated more than 60 million(!) pairs of shoes to children in need all over the world. As if that weren’t enough, TOMS’ eye-wear division has given more than 400,000 pairs of glasses to visually impaired people who lack access to ophthalmological care.
The company has further diversified its operations to include clean water initiatives through its coffee business, and its line of bags has helped support projects to expand access to birthing kits to expectant mothers in developing nations as well as training for birth attendants. To date, TOMS has helped more than 25,000 women safely deliver their babies.

How Does TOMS Use Ethical Marketing?

TOMS puts its social and environmental philanthropy on full display in virtually every aspect of its branding. This not only lets potential customers know the kind of company they’re dealing with right off the bat, but also reinforces TOMS’ brand values consistently across all channels.
Take a look at TOMS’ homepage. Right underneath the carousel, the company tells you that, for every product you purchase, TOMS will help someone in need:

brief explanation of ethics, morals and laws.

First of all lets start with "What is ethics, morals and laws". Are they all same?

So what is Ethics:- Ethics are simple codes of conduct for an individual provided by their organization in  order to decide what is good or bad.

Then comes Morals, and these are just simple beliefs followed by society or people themselves in order to decide right or wrong actions (Don't relate this with cultures, as it is totally different).

finally Laws, are the set of rules and regulations which are written in the constitution of a country and is applied to all the residents as well as the people visiting that country.

And also if someone breaks or UN-follows Ethics or Morals then he/she will not be punished or face any actions against, but whereas with Laws it is different. The individual will be punished according to the act done against the rules and regulations and it also known as "CRIME".

Now lets consider an example for better understanding.

Nowadays I have noticed that TV series or web series are getting are getting famous, so I also started watching them and I realized a very strange thing in them.
In Hollywood TV series it is compulsory to show one "LGBT" case to make people aware of this in a positive way, whereas in Indian TV series or web series it's totally opposite.
Here in Western countries being an LGBT is legally, ethically and morally right, an they accept them freely, but in India and many eastern countries it may be legally and ethically right but morally it is wrong, as majority of people still don't accept them freely.

By this we can clearly understand the difference between "ethics, morals and laws" and how they differ from place to place.

Hope this was helpful.
